MG Annual Rally

Rally HQ in 2011
is sunny New Plymouth

22nd to 24th April


This is a highlight of the MG year with approx 50 cars and 100 people, converging at Easter for a weekend full of variety and interest.

Events include Concours, Speed, Motorkhana and a 'fun' Trial (Marriage Guidance sometimes required).

Social events include BBQ, dinners and prize-giving and informal gatherings of MG maniacs to talk about 'cars' what else?

This is a must do weekend for anybody who is really into MGs.

The rally is run in alternate years by Auckland 2008, Wellington 2009, Auckland 2010, Wellington 2011  and so on.

Planned Programme 2011


Friday 22nd


12 - 2pm - Registration at Quality Hotel Plymouth International
2 - 5 pm - Concourse at the Windwand Grass reserve

Evening - casual meet and greet fish and chips provided at hotel..


Saturday 23rd


9:15 - Motokhana:  drivers briefing, with 9:30 start.

Venue is at Corbet Road. Followed by an Autocross

 

Sunday 24th

 

10:30 - Social day trial that will finish by a cafe
where you can take lunch if you wish

Rest of day free

6:30pm - pre dinner drinks and

7:30pm - prize-giving dinner at Plymouth Hotel

 

Monday 25th

 

Farewell and head for home
