Cecil Kimber OLD No 1 11.9 HP Raworth Class - of its own	The first of the breed, won a class in the 1925 Lands End Trial, not technically the first MG, but down in history as certainly one of the most famous. Six produced from 1923-1924, 2 seater, 1548cc side-valve, 3 spd crash box. Cecil would be here competing if he was alive today.
Hamish Hawker # 115 Mini Cooper S Class M1	Hamish is an enthusiastic young driver, who is using the Intermarque Series to improve his driving and race skills. He is driving his father's (Peter) classic Mini Cooper S. The Cooper is a genuine 1967, 1275 model. Main mods are Lynn Rogers fully ported and polished head with hi-lift rockers and a 544 junior race cam.
Bill Denize # 127 Mini Cooper S Class M2	Bill's Cooper S is truly a beautiful example of its type. Fully restored throughout to high detail level. Running a 1380 road motor, with CR gearbox, hi-lifts, 1.5 SUs, adjustable dry suspension. Bill is really an MG man but has a fetish for racing Minis.
Irene van de Coolwijk # 404 BMW2002 Tii Class U3	Recently refurbished BMW with a range of nice goodies, including Toyos by Race Rubber Services. Irene has taken the faster of the 2002s so look out Mike. Engine by Webb Services, body by, who else, The Surgery of course. This is one extremely well presented classic car.
Mike Baucke #202 BMW2002Ti Class M3	The other half of The Surgery team. Factory fuel injected, Toyos of course for added performance. Striking livery by the master painter himself. They make a great sight, but will Mike ever go officially faster than Irene? Watch this space.
Ross Armstrong # 65 MGB Class M3	A very well known period race car. In 1950 cc form with a host of development over 10 years plus. Ross is a member of the Classic & Historic Commission and a key organiser of the MG Classic Motor Race.
Ali & Andy Bray # 101/911 Porsche 911 Class U3	They both have tremendous fun campaigning the unmodified family Porsche. Just the sort of car that can drive to the track have great fun and drive home again.
Dick Butters # 4 Ford Escort Class XX	Dick is one of the most well known race drivers in the region. He has been competing in all sorts of motor sport for more years than he would care for me to mention. A true stalwart and great competitor who competes simply to have fun and makes sure he does just that. When will Ford become a marque we wonder?
Harold Robinson- # 47 Almac Cobra Class XX	One of the best looking cars around and always immaculately presented. This was a rare day when things weren't quite going to plan. Another of the MG Car Club members who drive other cars. Is an Almac a marque? It's certainly an NZ Classic already.
Tom Lancaster Ford Escort Class XX	A well known Levin based car dealer who turns out a beautifully presented car both on and off the track. resplendent in the Gulf colours.
Marvin Turton # 177 Mini Cooper Class M1	Marvin contemplates that funny clonking noise coming from the crank region. He is a very regular competitor in his wickedly quick Coopers and drives real hard and fast and has a ball doing it.
Stuart Owers # 233 Porsche 944 Turbo Class M5	He competes in all manner of serious racing including the Bridgestone Porsche Series. A past winner of the Intermarque and a true sportsman. ex-owner of Road & Track in Lower Hutt, and his cars are always perfectly turned out.
Ron Robertson # 666 Almac Sabre Class XX	Another instant classic powered by Rover V8. Ron did wonders in building this from the ground up in no time at all. A key behind the scenes organiser of the Series and a hard worker for all kinds of classic type racing. This car will be seriously quick real soon.
Ron Stirk # Alfasud Class U2	Fantastic supporter of the Series and a past series overall winner. Hardly ever misses a meeting and is so consistent a driver and performer. Those suds sure do the wash well.
Timers Inc. # 999 Vital support	A view of just some of the people who make it all possible.
Steve Burr # 307 MG Montego Turbo Class M4 Asset Management Ltd	The Montego has gone North as a Targa car, which is great; that's why I rescued it in the 1st place so it could race again. Steve is still finishing what will be a wicked little MG Midget race car.  Meanwhile you can't race a dirty car can you?
Ray Hartley # 525 Porsche 911RS Class XX Ray Hartley Motors	Ray is a well known driver in the Wellington area with a huge amount of experience. He and Ian Sage have recently acquired a Porsche with history. It is a 1972 model RS that competed in the Wellington street race in the hands of Bill Fulford. Watch for Ray and Ian to get progressively faster in this rocketship, when they aren't at the cafe drinking latte that is.
Eric Heycoop # 143 MG Midget Class M2 Arabica Cafe	Now with bog-standard MGF 1800, wait until it's tweaked!
Alan Hyndman # 000 Evo V1 'no class - at all' If you like that sort of thing	Alan who is the IMCC coordinator depicted one day posing alongside a borrowed Evo V1. He can do enough damage in his Triumph, let alone a rocket like that! Dream on Alan.
Dino Toscano # 124 of course FIAT 124 Class M3	Dino has earned a free spot due to his depositing the entire length of his exhaust system in the front straight and being foolish enough to pose for a photo.
Don Gilliver Mark Mackaness # 108 MGBGT V8 Class M4	Mark and Don shared this long-time track car. Resplendent in it's new bright red and festooned with TyrePower and Race Rubber Services decals. Probably as Mark is partnered with Trevor (aka me) in RRS the famous Toyo suppliers. Don had the distinction of being the 'most experienced' driver at many MG Classics and was a great guy.
Chris Harford # 172 MGBGT Class M3	Chris is another of the long line of racers (Richard and Ben, who is pictured in the FF on his way onto the track for his very 1st win). Chris is driving extremely well and getting some excellent times in the Toyo shod B and has broken the magical 1.30.00 mark. What to do now to go even quicker and will Richard be able to match Chris's times?
Eion Smoothy alias Shooey # 120 TR8 Class M4	This is Eion's newest creation and will be a quick car. The signwriting reveals his total addiction (affliction) to Ferraris. Eion is well known for his past exploits in the wicked Herald and his volunteer grid work with the various MG Classic Racing meetings.
Ross Church # 68 Morgan +8 Class U5	Ross has dabbled in classic racing for the last couple of seasons (Ed: and has relearned his old skills really fast). He's hooked now and has bought a Fiat 125T and joined the Fiat club so he can earn some points.  The race MGBGTV8 is now up and running and going well.
Trevor Boone # 64 MGBGTV8 M4 MG Midget M2 Theseus Management Group Race Rubber Services	Both cars now sold - watch this space... Factory MGBGTV8, restored in 1996, Mallard green lustrous paint by The Surgery, leather interior, extractors, mechanicals by Ray Hartley Motors, rear teles. Best lap by TJ was 1.32.6. The Midget hit the track and the mud in 2001. Hard to miss it anyway in it's 'no passing yellow' colours. Named PMO200 after John Sprinzel, with permission. ....if I could just keep it on the track!
