Since our 1st Newsletter there have been a number of developments which we want to update you about:

10th Anniversary - 2002 - 2020

In looking at the time line since the first MG National Rally was held way back in 2002 in Christchurch, we realised that in fact next year's Rally will be the 10th time it has been run, so we thought we should at least acknowledge it and make sure that we send the Rally well on its way, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary in 2040. That's a long way off, but we need to keep the concept of a MG National Rally alive and well, for it to continue. It means, all of the four centres in New Zealand have to support the concept and more importantly actually come, whether it is held in the North Island or the South Island. We know its sometimes an effort, but if we want MG as a Marque to continue to be one of the premier Car Clubs in New Zealand and for that matter world-wide, support is everything!!!

Rally HQ and Accommodation

Please keep making your bookings, as we are updated monthly and at this point, we are some distance from where we want to be. There must be a lot of people coming, who have yet to make their move from what we understand. Can you help us please, by confirming your accommodation arrangements and also sending in your Entry's. There is only 105 days to go, before the balloon goes up.

Cook Strait Ferry Crossings

Tony Hirst of Motorsports Discount Booking Agents has advised, that they can now book Blue Bridge as well as the Interislander and achieve the same discounts and conditions. All you need to do, is contact Tony Hirst on 021 726 711 to complete your travel arrangements. The more we support his efforts, the better the discounts and conditions will become. Just give him a ring, it's as easy as that!!!!

Register Dinner for the 25th Anniversary of the MGF/TF's

This is being held on Monday the 24th February 2019 at the Rally HQ and will be a special night for all those MGF/TF owners. We have organised some surprises in acknowledgment of the Anniversary, so for those of you who have MGF/TF's do support the Rally, as we do want to have at least 25 MGF/TF's attending. We know of at least one MGTF coming up from Invercargill, so that gives you some idea of the support we are getting for this Rally and the Anniversary. Details of the cost of the Dinner etc is currently being worked through with the Brentwood Hotel and we will be in a position to confirm that, in our next Newsletter.

Weka Workshop Experience Tour

We still have a number of tickets available at this point however they are selling well, so if you are contemplating wanting to go we suggest you make your move now. Cost is $33.00 per person payable with your Entry.

NZ Festival OF Arts - Wellington - 21st February - 15th March 2020

For those of you who have an interest in the Arts you might like to contemplate having a look at the programme and perhaps take advantage of what's on offer, whilst you are in Wellington. It is one of the premier events on the New Zealand Arts calendar.

7th Annual MGF/TF Festival at Mangaweka - Saturday 29th February - Sunday 1st March 2020

Another opportunity, to continue the love and extend the 25th Anniversary Celebrations after attending the National Rally.

Held at the Awastone Riverside Haven - a stunning venue by the beautiful Rangitikei River and is specifically a gathering for those people who own MGF/TF's and is an opportunity to socialise, share ownership experiences and gain valuable advice for the successful management of their cars. Go to www.mangaweka.co.nz to check out the fantastic venue etc

For full entry information and accommodation options contact John and Viv Eames on Telephone: 06 382 5717 Mobile: 027 782 5717 or Email: mangaweka@hotmail.com

So that's it for the now.

We will be sending further Newsletters as we continue moving through the next 105 days to the National Rally with other announcements etc. It leaves only one thing and that's the plea to get your accommodation and Entry Forms in. It will certainly help the Organisers.
